Under the project “Empowering Rohingya and Host Community Women through leadership, learning and livelihood”, BNPS is operating a Multi-Purpose Women Center (MPWC) in the Cox’s Bazar host community with the support from Oxfam in Bangladesh and UN Women. The MPWC is located at West Larpara, near to the bus terminal. The direction of the MPWC is very easy from anywhere of Cox’s Bazar Sadar that any women can reach there easily.
The MPWC is divided into four units. In the first unit, there is an information corner where women will get necessary information relevant to them. There is a childcare & breast-feed room and paramedic room. The second unit using for livelihood training. DCA will conduct their education program and computer training for girls at the MPWC and the third unit is dedicated for this purpose. The forth unit is using for office purpose.
There is a complain box for the visitors at the MPWC. If anyone face any unwanted behavior by the project staff she can made a written complain. Necessary steps will be taken with full confidentiality of the person. In addition, an MHM box is there. If any women start her menstruation at the MPWC, the project team is ready to support her. First aid support is also ready to help the women visitors any time.
