BNPS Publishes International Women’s Day 2012 Poster
BNPS has published a poster to commemorate the International Women’s Day 2012. This IWD poster is illustrated with six inspiring photographs of Bangladeshi women’s role in social activism and non-traditional professions: rights-activist Wasfia Nazreen who is venturing out to climb the Seven Summits, the highest mountains in each of the seven continents to celebrate the 40th years of Bangladesh’s independence; photo-journalist Farzana Khan Godhuli, first female train-driver Salma Khan, Bangladesh’s first female police contingent to a UN peacekeeping mission in Haiti, country’s first female police Officer in Charge Hosne Ara Begum and jubilent Bangladeshnational women’s cricket teamwhich has recently secured ODI status. This poster is designed to highlight this year’s theme: ‘Connecting Girls, Inspiring Futures.’ |
